Hi! I’m Didem, the founder of Prairie Yarns Co — a proudly Canadian yarn shop based in the heart of Saskatchewan.

I started this shop with one goal: to bring together beautiful, high-quality yarns from (mainly) Canadian makers and share them with fellow knitters, crocheters, and fibre artists who care about where their materials come from.

My love of knitting began when I was six years old, sitting beside my grandmother and watching her knit with care and skill. She taught me everything — from casting on to choosing the perfect fibre for the perfect project. That early connection to craft and family continues to inspire everything I do at Prairie Yarns Co.

Every skein in this shop is carefully selected for its quality and artistry.
